Puzzling Puzzles

Hi! Are you ready to be puzzled? Well, I hope you are, because some of these questions are quite puzzling!

#1: What is long, warm, and wraps around your neck?

Some pictures to help you. You might prefer this near Christmas!

Although it sort of looks like a piece of earth, you would not want to wear this in summer!

This second one is a bit tricky!
#2: What is the perfect thing to keep your hands warm while driving?

These seem to be missing something. What could it be?

Catch Up - Guest Post By KnitMama

It's KnitMama here... we've been having some difficulty keeping on top of our blog lately.  Between summer holidays, broken laptops and knitting things other than yarn bombs.. we've been busy.  Plus, Little Knitter is on the move and keeping us on our toes.  We're attempting to get back into the swing of it as we have an upcoming big tag planned (keep your eyes pealed!).

So.. we've got a few things to get caught up on.

First, back in the summer, KninjaNeedles8 teased you with a story about The Very Special Bird Feeder, but she never did get around to posting pictures of what the final home for that bird feeder was.  So, without further ado, here are some pictures.

Our hope is that soon we're going to see some evidence of birds having taken some pieces of yarn from this feeder and used it to help build their nest.  The potential of seeing nests with bits of colourful yarn in them is exciting!

Secondly, we missed making a big announcement.  In the summer time, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to some Kninjas.

Mother Of Purl, Purl-ice and TINKerbell had to move out of town.  They will be missed dearly.  The exciting thing about this is though that they are hoping to continue to be Knitting Kninjas in their new town (we'll soon be spreading like wildfire!)... and they've already brought a new member on board from their new town.  Soon we will see some work by our newest member, Stealthy Stitch Slipper.

Any guesses as to their new location?  Or as to when we might see some new yarn bombs popping up?

Lakefield Yarn Bomb

These look like some lovely garden decorations!

Now, you're probably wondering if we made this tag or not. And the answer is... we did not!

And from the other side

Well, let me tell you the story. We were just at the beach.  When we left, we saw a house that had a bunch of yarn bombs!

Look at this bright yarn bomb! It even  has a pom-pom!

This house is located in Lakefield, Ontario.
These are some nice ornaments!

An ornament close up.

It was nice that we got to see the house.  And we chatted with another yarn bomber (who promised to keep our identity a secret!).

Has anyone spotted any yarn bombs in their neighbourhood?
